- The Northern most part of Santa Barbara County.
On Historic Highway- I, 175 miles North from Los Angeles and 270 miles South from San Francisco. 9 miles West of Santa Maria off of 101 to Highway-166.

- Land grant 1840 founded in 1872.
- When did it become incorporated?
- Incorporated in 1946. Present population of 6,500.
- What form of industry exists?
- Agriculture, year round seasonal produce, from seed, harvest to shipping. Guadalupe is well known for being the "Salad Capitol of the World/United States".
- Is Guadalupe Urban or Rural?
- The town is a quaint Rural city with original buildings from the 1800s. Guadalupe is in close proximity to Santa Maria (east), San Luis Obispo, Arroyo Grande, and Pismo Beach (north), Vandenberg Airforce Base (south). To the west is Guadalupe Beach, the famous site of the movie films; The Ten Commandments, The Shiek, GI Jane, The Odd Couple II, and more.

PLACES TO SEE:
Guadalupe Beach 2 miles west on Highway-166. Hiking, fishing and picnics (sorry it is a protected area, no fires, overnight camping or ATVs.
Oso Flaco Lake 2 ½ miles Northwest of Guadalupe. A restored wetland and natural lake with a walkway fully extended over and across the lake to the sand dunes, path to the south end of Guadalupe Beach.
